I think this was the performance we were all hoping for in the initial launch of the RTX series. When the 2080 was only marginally better than the 1080Ti i think everyone was disappointed, this super card at least in this benchmark is showing the 10% improvement we were expecting at launch. There is now a clear separation between the 2070 super, 2080 super and the 2080Ti. This has me asking why was this not done in the first place as just adding more cuda cores and SM’s is not really that hard to do, I think this is not giving gamers the performance they wanted initially its selling your defective products (cores with sm’s and cuda cores that don't work or work poorly) for added profit instead of sending them to the trash ala Radeon 7 (instinct).

Apple considering $1bn Intel modem business deal, says WSJ

While this would be good news to apple as they will now own more of the modem IP, They will still have to pay Qualcomm as they seem to own all the rest. And this makes Qualcomm now a monopoly for 5G modems in the Android space if Intel’s 5G division is owned by apple. I can see this monopoly being exploited to make 5G very expensive for both end users and companies. Im hoping that at some point the technology will get licenced so others can make 5g modems and introduce some competition here.

RED HYDROGEN Two Will Improve on Its Predecessor, Adding Features Like ‘Cinema Grade Image’ Capture & More

I don't know how many people will pre-order this one if any, The last mobile device red produced was let's face it a failure. Screen that was a gimmick like the 3DS appalling 3D audio and a sub par off the shelf camera for an over premium price, Then after that add a promised add on ecosystem that failed to materialise.  And you have a smartphone (people that ordered the titanium one got 2) that was late under-specced for its time and was then never supported. RED will have to do allot to repair their smartphone reputation, I reckon they will have to hand out allot of review samples to prove to third parties that they have learnt from their mistakes before they see any traction in the smartphone market.

Samsung will release the Galaxy Fold in September

After this phones beta test with reviewers samsung learnt some important things, I assume that when the device was tested internally it wasn't really used in a fashion that the problems that were found would surface. When given to reviewers who are seeing this type of device for the first time the device would see proper use as well as inquisitive abuse that it would not see internally. As a result of this it has now had its hinge further reinforced, The screen protector has been extended to now go under the bezel and it also looks like the bezel has been made slightly larger to accommodate the screen protector. Now while i would love to have and play with this device its price tag is way to big for me to justify right now, I wouldn't say no to samsung giving me or even loaning one to me for a month. (its never going to happen)

Rumoured new Nvidia Shield TV shows up in FCC listing

This seems like a waste of time from Nvidia, Overclocking the X1 chip and re-releasing it seems like a lazy attempt to keep the device relevant. I can't imagine the market that would buy this device wanting to use it to play android games, For streaming the old device was sufficient bot for their GRID service and for local streaming from your PC. With the only console supporting an Nvidia chipset being the Nintendo Switch they might be wanting to increase the amount of chips they ship, Unlike AMD they cannot offer a X86/64 SOC as they do not have licences to make that architecture so they have not been able to expand into that segment of the console space.
