Chuwi Minibook Is Power In Your Pocket With The Help Of These Never Before Seen Features In An Ultra Mobile PC

I like seeing this class of pc, I own a GPD Pocket. However I do not like the support level you get with this type of PC, For instance to get the drivers for my pocket you have to get from a zip file from someone who extracted from his device. I would like to see them made from a bigger company like Asus invest in this form factor, This would have the benefits of being able to get up to date drivers from a website and support that can be gotten to easily.

Samsung tears wraps off Bixby Marketplace, tens of people go wild. (One at the back whispers, 'Siri, what's Bixby?')

Honestly I'm still finding it hard to believe Samsung is still investing in Bixby. They must be able to see how few requests are sent to the servers, And while I'm sure it's more popular in Korea as it coded there and must be able to understand commands locally I doubt it will ever be popular in the west. When I had my note 8 the only time I ever triggered Bixby was by accident because at the time I could not disable the button. Now while I think this form of AI does need competition for the future Samsung forcing Bixby on people right now is not the smart choice, Their platform needs more basic development it needs to be able to understand and do more. This should have been done before release, in Samsungs rush they released Bixby before it was ready and given everyone that has used it a bad experience that will likely stop them from using it in the future.

This major internet routing blunder took A WEEK to fix. Why so long? It was IPv6 – and no one really noticed

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/07/02/ipv6_routing_error/

Wednesday.png

This proves how little use IPv6 is getting right now as the main form of communication routing on the internet right now. When the time comes that IPv6 does become more mainstream this type of error could knock out a lot of devices. The trouble is with broader deployment is that the rules behind an IPv6 address are more complicated to learn than the 4 blocks of 3 numbers between 1 and 255 of IPv4, I believe the future of IPv6 will be in just the internet itself so local networks will still use IPv4 and your internet-facing IP will become IPv6 with routers doing the translation between the two.

HP, Dell, Asus, and Acer plan to shift production from China

Honestly I'm surprised it took so long for this announcement to come out, It might be because these companies were hoping that this trump temper tantrum would have been resolved by now. It might be that this will spread manufacturing throughout Asia, it seems that everyone is just moving next door to Taiwan. I wonder what the excuse will be when Taiwan gets a tariff from trump?

UK's Openreach admits 50k premises on 'gigabit-capable' FTTP network can't get gigabit speeds

This looks to be a case of older kit holding the newer kit back from its full potential. However there is a line stating that they are still adding this older kit as well as the new kit to the network, To me this is like shooting yourself in the foot finding its slowing you down when you want to go faster then continuing to shoot yourself in the foot! If I where Openreach I would focus on delivering the speed I promised and delay the project, it seems as though they have oped to get the project done and then have to go back to this old kit and maybe swap it later. Probably allot later.
